After 6 months~ TINEWTF
Sometimes it takes something momentous to happen to return to the long ignored blog.
Something happened tonight that I never ever want to forget and so here I am.
Life with twin 3 year olds is tough. I will never sugar coat it.
Our days are full of time outs, screaming, teasing, fighting, hitting, and there are days where I have to go in my dark bedroom and cry.
Today was one of those days.
Then with just a few words, my sweet girl made everything all better.
She had a short nap today and so had a hard time falling asleep tonight. I was annoyed because I could hear her little feet shuffling towards me AGAIN and I just sat there
until she came to me and laid her head on my arm.
"Mama, I love you.
You are a pretty Mama.
You are a good Mama.
YOU ARE THE ONLY MAMA WE WANT."
And suddenly all I want to do is hug her little body so tightly and never let go.
We sit like that for a few minutes while I quietly cry and thank Heavenly Father for this moment and then I carry her back to bed where she quickly falls asleep.
All is right in my world again.

*I resolve to no longer ignore this little family blog*
Now don't expect daily posts but I resolve to blog once a week
sort of a "week in review" type of thing.
This is important to me and my family.
So I resolve to
*share pictures
*share funny stories
*share my family!
Here is to a happy, healthy, and peaceful new year!

TINEWTF~ Emma Sings
I had another one of those moments that I never want to forget tonight when I
was putting Emma to bed. One of her favorite lullaby's is Rock a Bye
Baby but we changed the last line from "and down will come baby, cradle
and all" to "and Mama will catch you, cradle and all". Tonight as I was
holding her, Emma decided to sing it to me instead and changed the line
to "and Emma will catch you, cradle a
nd
all" and put her hand on my cheek. In my heart I heard her say that
just as I will always be there for her and catch her when she falls, she
will be there for me when I fall. I feel like I am falling alot these
days-yelling too much, disciplining too harshly, and worrying too much
about things that won't matter in the long run instead of spending
enough quality time with my children. Despite all of this, Ben and Emma
want nothing more than to have me give them hugs and kisses and sing
them to sleep at the end of the day. I am truly blessed.
My baby girl.

Brushing the Cobwebs Away With Some TINEWTF!
Wow. It has been a long time since I even looked at this little blog of mine. I have so much to catch up on. It has been one crazy summer!
For now, though, I will start out with a few things about Ben that I never ever want to forget:
*Last night Ben took all of the leftovers from our dinner plates and pile them in a bowl declaring that he had made "dinner" for me. The look on his face says it all! He is so pleased when he helps me around the house and so am I!
*Tonight as I was preparing to serve dinner to Ben and Emma, I looked over and saw that Ben had carefully placed a plate and fork at their places. It didn't matter that he had taken them out of the dishwasher and they were still dirty, I was so proud of him! I just quickly and quietly washed them!
*Ben is a sweet and sensitive soul in a wild and hyperactive body! He has started to say "I love you, Mama" without me initiating it and it is music to my ears! He also will say he is sorry and give hugs without being asked to and means it. It doesn't stop him from repeating the same naughty behavior over and over again but still....!
*He loves swords! For months he has been creating his own swords out of straws and cup lids, a meat baster, a bubble stick, sticks, anything that sparks his active imagination. I am not a fan of play weapons but Ben now has his own. I broke down when he came in one day and cried himself to sleep because the neighbor boys would not share their swords with him. Funny thing is that hes till prefers his straw swords!
Yep. This 3 straws taped together to make one awesome sword! Oh yeah, and ignore my mess. Those of you who know me well know that my house is NEVER clean. How could it be with these 2 cuties running around like little crazies??
*He loves to line up his Hot Wheels just like my brothers did when they were his age. Must be a boy thing!
*Barman and Superheroes in general reign supreme in our house. Ben is Batman and Emma is Batman Girl. Once or twice he has even called me Batmama which in my eyes is the ultimate in cool! He loves Spiderman and pretends to shoots webs with his wrists. He wears his blue cape so much that it now has holes in it. When he builds Mega Blox towers they are the "Batman Cave". Ben is such a cool kid!
My son, I love you. I love how you run and spin and jump. I love how you are my little helper. I love how pleased you are when I say thank you for helping. I love your smile, I love the sound of your laughter. I love when you say "I need you, Mama", I love it when you wake me up in the morning so excited to tell me that the sun is up. I love your hugs and kisses. I love YOU!!
Emma is next...till next time!

Mama Loves: Crayola Dry Erase Crayons
Patrice and I bought an Ikea easel for our little artists a few months ago and they love it! We practice identifying letters and numbers on it and Ben and Emma create art masterpieces that this Mama hates to erase!
At first we did not know what to do with the dry erase side because Ben and Emma still put everything in their mouths (so annoying!) and so I didn't even want to try dry erase markers. We just ignored the white board until da-da-da-DAAA! Patrice found a great discovery!
Problem solved!
Ben and Emma love to color on the white board with these crayons. They have bright and vibrant colors and are easy to clean off with just a little water or else Windex if they artwork has been admired for quite awhile. Another great thing is that they easily wash off walls if you have the same problem (ahem) that we we do!
Ben and Emma love them and so does their Mama!
I'm not sure what was wrong with the camera this day (maybe Patrice took them on his ipod??) but I love the expression on Emma's face. Priceless!
I'm linking up today with Julia at
and Mama Loves!
Join in the fun!
