Mickey & Minnie Party!
So, let's just play a little pretend game, shall we?
It's November 20 and Ben and Emma's
2nd Birthday Party was yesterday!!
No?? OK. As usual, I am late with the fun and pictures!
So, Ben and Emma are really into Mickey and Minnie Mouse at the moment (I didn't encourage this at all. Whatever.)) and so we decided to have a Mickey and Minnie party. We kept it simple and easy this year. A few balloons, a "hot diggity dog" lunch and a rousing couple rounds of the Hokey Pokey and we called it good. And it was good.

Ben's new smile. Love his goofiness!
Emma loved her first tutu! Oh, my little girlie girl. I love her!
Twirling!
We need a better camera and photographer!
Our simple decorations
and our Mickey and Minne cupcakes.
"We do the Hokey Pokey!" Looks at Ben's grin!!
Dancing with Papa~ Emma's favorite!
Presents!!!
And then Ben discovered THE TRUCK!
Blowing out the candles!
We had such a great day!
Thank you to all our family who came to
celebrate Ben and Emma's big day!

"Remember When?" Halloween 2011 Part 2
So, where did we leave off?
Oh, yes, time for Winnie the Pooh and Tigger!
Oh, yes, time for Winnie the Pooh and Tigger!
For this being their first Halloween to go Trick or Treating, Ben and Emma did pretty well. We couldn't get them to say "Trick or Treat" but they would say "Thank you" so I am pretty impressed! We did have to hold Emma back from trying to empty the full bowls of candy into her pumpkin, though!
I wish we had taken more pictures that evening. I wish I had a picture of Emma protecting her candy bucket from Mama and Papa and especially Ben! She is one fierce little girl when it comes to protecting her stuff. I see many battles in our future!

"Remember When?" Halloween 2011 Part 1
O.K. so just ignore the fact that there are
Christmas decorations up and our Christmas Tree is twinkling in the background
and just revel in the Halloween cuteness!!
Carving our Jack o' Lantern
Getting ready to "cook"
Emma, our little artist, making sure her Papa
draws the face correctly!
Please notice mismatched outfit and her one shoe~
our girl is stylin'!
"Ewwww!"
"Way Back When-esday"
January 2010
Almost 2 months old
The Occasion: Feeding my babies
This isn't a great picture but it is the only one I have of me feeding Ben and Emma at this age. Usually I fed them propped up on pillows or if I could pull it off, one at a time cradled in my arms. This day we were visiting my parents and my Mom took this picture. She loved that I was holding Ben's bottle with my chin! Look how little they are!!

"Remember When?" The First Haircut
October 23, 2011
It was time.
It was time.
Emma's hair was long and really dry.
Ben's was just toooo frizzy.
I had hoped for little boy curls but gave up!
So, with a little trepidation, Mama took the first cut.
Look how long Ben's hair is!
And then Papa took over.
Before...shaggy little guy!
After...my two handsome men!
Now it's Emma's turn!
The first cut.
Before...oh goodness!
After...our gorgeous girl!
I'm thankful that Patrice understood that I not only needed to keep that first cut of hair
but every strand of baby hair that was cut.
Yes, I am that kind of Mama!
