First Bike Ride With Papa

From the day Patrice found out we were having "a" baby, 

he started talking about the day he would take
he or she for a ride in a bike trailer.
Little did he know then that we would need a double trailer!

We weren't sure how Ben and Emma would react to the trailer.
We were pretty sure Ben would be OK but Emma??

When I saw this picture I felt like crying.  Her face is saying,
"Papa, I'm scared but I'm with you so I'll be OK."
She loves her Papa so much!

Off they go!

 

Home at last!  They enjoyed the ride, except for the bright sun!

These  pictures were taken a few days later on another ride. 
Look at Emma's face this time. 
She was so excited to go for another bike ride with Papa!

they got from their Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
 A lovely day filled with great food, games and
a huge and loving family!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is simply known as "BOOM BOOM" in our home.  It is by far our most favorite book and I can't live without it because it is helping me teach

my 20 month old twins their ABC's!

There is something so sweet about hearing my babies singing along as I read and sing the simple but fun words in this book.  By the way, it's also found on you tube!

Looking forward to finding out what other Mama's  love!

***I guess I'm not quite back yet.  I wrote this on Monday and then forgot to hit publish!  

At least it was written on Monday!

Did anyone notice I was missing?

Thanks to my super cool brother, Chris, we have a new (to us) computer so I am back!

I think!

Life is still crazy as ever around here 

and I am trying to get it under control.  

But chaos seems to be winning.

I will never be that "blog every teeny tiny moment of her children's lives kind of blogger" 

but I have made a goal to blog about something  

EVERY MONDAY. 

I think that's a goal I can achieve!

Sooo...here I am for this week.

Last night we went on a family outing to Nelson Grove Park, 

our favorite park.

We all had fun and Ben and Emma
got to do all of their favorite things!

Throwing the bark chips in the playground...such fun!

 

Climbing up the big slide!  Can you see the worried Mama?

 

Ben was content to go down the small slide

But Emma climbed all the way to the top and then waited for Papa to come rescue her~
our little damsel in distress!

We fed the ducks

 Ben had fun on the swing.....

 

 while Mama and Emma went in search of the live music
they had been enjoying all evening.

They liked the music but loved the dog!

But the best part of the evening?
Running as fast as their little legs could carry them,
going up and down the grassy hill and
PLAYING WITH PAPA!

 

 

 

It was a wonderful evening! 

Family is what it's all about!
